Development of the Feedback Controlled Indentation System for Assessing Risk of Pressure Ulcers

چکیده
Pressure ulcers are a common secondary complication in people with disabilities. With the increasing number of people suffering from pressure ulcers, it is urgent to develop efficient research methods and devices in order to understand etiological causes of such disease for developing proper prevention and treatment strategies. In this study, we introduce an efficient and robust indenter system with the purpose of performing reliable indentation tests for the study of mechanical etiology of pressure ulcers.
